Hello, I have been surfing the net and came across the name Beatie Tickler of Torrens House North Common Road, Ealing, London. My reason for contacting you is to see if any of your family have a picture of Torrens House? My great grand father, Captain Henry Robert Angel owned this house (among others) and lent it out as a club for wounded soldiers during the war. He died in 1923 aged 94. He owned and sailed a Clipper from Southhampton to Adelaide, Australia, named The Torrens, hence Torrens House, or The Blighty Touch as it was sometimes called. I would appreciate anything that you might be able
to tell me.

Thankyou very much

Hello Amanda - thanks for getting in touch and great to hear from you. Beatie & Babs were my father's cousins. We are slowly finding more information about the pair. I'll happily send you what we have if you'd like to let me know your e-mail address - send it to contactus@kahngene.org.uk.

And, of course, we'd like to hear more about you and your family. Please get in touch again

thanks and best wishes

Hi there!

I thought I would drop a line. I was really interested to read about Beatty and Babs because my mum, Nadia, was the only daughter of Bertie Henly and Babs and I am Babs' only grandchild.

Sadly, all the family possessions were diverted away from my Mum as she had such a difficult relationship with her mother so you know more about Beattie & Babs than I do. My Mum died in 2003

Do get in touch - it would be fun to exchange information and get to know some long lost relatives.

All the best
